The General Accounting and Accounts Payable (GAAP) division is responsible for:
  • Managing the countywide financial system
  • Processing various types of fiscal information for County departments, special districts, and certain other non-county agencies
  • Maintaining the general ledger
  • Enforcing accounting policies, procedures, and processes
  • Ensuring accurate financial reporting
  • Reconciling fixed asset activity to County inventory
  • Processing purchase orders
  • Making vendor and contract payments
