Pursuant to California Revenue and Taxation Code Section 2503.2, if you plan to make an aggregate payment of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) or more on the two most recent installments of secured taxes or on the one installment of the most recent unsecured tax, you are required to make your payment to Contra Costa County via "EFT."

The EFT must be completed before the tax payment delinquent dates of DECEMBER 10 and APRIL 10 for the secured and unitary taxes or AUGUST 31 for unsecured taxes. To facilitate crediting of payments, it is important that you contact the Tax Collector's Office to confirm the intended payment. Please contact us in advance by mail or phone to make arrangements for your EFT.

In the "message line" of your EFT, please include the following data: Account Owner Name

Tax Year shown on the bill

Contact Phone Number

For example: John Doe 2015 123-456-789-0 1st John Doe 925-957-1234

Original installment "coupons" from the bottom of the tax bill which support the sum of the EFT must be received in our office before their due date. Please forward the coupons to the attention of Assistant Tax Collector at P.O. Box 631, Martinez, CA 94553. Alternatively, a spreadsheet containing each Parcel Number, Installment Number and Dollar Amount can be emailed to the Tax Information email in lieu of the coupons.
