  1. Dog and Cat Licensing

Your pet’s license expiration may be aligned with your pet’s rabies vaccination expiration date. If you have one year or less before your pet’s vaccine expires, you will need to purchase a 3-12 month license. If you have one year or more before your pet’s vaccine expires you may purchase the 12-36 month license. You may not purchase a license that extends past your rabies vaccine expiration.

If you have less than 3 months remaining before your pet’s vaccine expires, we suggest you speak to your veterinarian about revaccinating although we can sell you a shorter term license for the 3-12 month pricing if necessary.

Every license sold for "unaltered pets" will contribute $10.00 to the Animal Benefit Fund to support low-cost or free spay/neuter programs in Contra Costa County.
