How are my special assessment amounts determined? Who can I contact for more information?
The special assessment districts determine the assessment amounts. For more information, please call the phone number listed to the right of the special assessment. You can also contact the districts directly at these telephone numbers.
What exemptions are there for special assessments?
There are senior exemptions for some special assessments, which have specific criteria that must be met. Your tax bill has an asterisk next to the assessments that you may qualify for an exemption. For more information, please call the phone number listed to the right of the special assessment. You can also contact the districts directly at these telephone numbers.
When will a special assessment be removed after a district's approval?
After we receive the correction form from the district, it may take up to two weeks for the bill to be corrected. The corrected bill should be available online about two days after the correction. Here is the link to the Tax Collector's account lookup website. Please allow up to two weeks for the new bill to arrive in the mail.
What will the special assessment amounts be for the property I am buying?
It's hard to know what the specific amount will be. If you know of a nearby property and have the parcel number or know the street address, you can look up that property's current taxes to give you an idea of what your potential property's tax bill may look like. Special Assessment amounts may vary.
