The Home Supervision (HS) Unit consists of Juvenile Electronic Monitoring, supervising two levels of youth:
Both programs offer youth an opportunity to reside at home, in lieu of secure detention.
Home Supervision staff will supervise and provide services to Pre-Disposition youth. They will report to the court on the compliance of the youth and parents/legal guardians.
Probation Officers will continue to supervise and provide services to the Post-Disposition youth. They also report to the court on the compliance of the youth and parents/legal guardians.
Home Supervision staff provide intense supervision and services to youth by way of daily telephone calls, field contact and random drug testing. Youth receive services with in the community.
The parents and legal guardians work collaboratively with the Probation Staff to insure that youth are receiving the services needed to comply with the orders of the court.
If youth violate the law, HS rules or become a threat to the community, Home Supervision staff may place the youth in custody and schedule a hearing before the court.
