Pest Control Registration Fees

Building and Planning  Fees 

Planning Fees require a minimum deposit based on the application. Staff charges time and materials against the deposit. If the cost exceeds the deposit, the applicant will be billed for the difference.

Building Permit Fees are based on the valuation of the project.

Convenience Fee

The convenience fee is not payable to Contra Costa County and will appear as a separate charge from Official Payments Official Payments Corporations (OPC) on your credit card statement.

New Permit Fees

Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors adopted new land development fees on December 17, 2019. The fees will be implemented on March 1, 2020.

Building and Planning - How to Make a Payment

Online Payments

Online payments can be made for Building Permit and Planning applications on our ePermits Center website

Payment methods include MasterCard/Visa debit card, credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express) or electronic check (E-check) 

Credit Card payments are subject to a Convenience Fee of 2.5% and e-check payments are subject to a $3.0 convenience fee for payment amounts of less than $10,000 and a $15.00 convenience fee for payments over $10,001. The convenience fee is paid directly as a separate charge to our third party payment vendor and not to the county, thus resulting in two charges on credit card statements.
