2024 CalPERS Open Enrollment

2024 CalPERS Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) and Dependent Care Assistance Plan (DCAP) Open Enrollment will begin on September 18th, 2023 and ends on October 13th, 2023.

Active CalPERS Participant Employees

Open Enrollment for active employees CalPERS Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Health Care Spending Account (HCSA) and Dependent Care Assistance Plan (DCAP) plans will be completed online through our PeopleSoft eBenefits system. Employees will be able to complete their benefits enrollment process from any computer with internet access, including home, work or other public access computers. Open Enrollment is available through Employee Self Service (ESS) at: https://selfservice2.cccounty.us

CalPERS Health Plan Statements and other Open Enrollment information will be available online to all active members via myCalPERS. This feature will allow you to receive customized health information in a confidential and secure method.

Open enrollment is the time to:

make benefit changes for CalPERS medical, dental and vision plans;
add or delete dependents;
complete annual IRC Section 152 form for Domestic Partner;
enroll in the Health Care Spending Account (HCSA);
enroll in the Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP);
update and review Life Insurance policies and beneficiaries

If making changes, remember to go through Employee Self Service (ESS) to complete and submit all enrollment changes and upload required documentation no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, October 13th, 2023.

Open Enrollment for CalPERS Medical and Dental plans only will begin on September 18th, 2023 and ends on October 13th, 2023.

Retirees and Survivors may make changes to their health plan by any of the following ways:

at my.calpers.ca.gov; or
request a change in writing and mailing the request to CalPERS Health Account Services, P. O. Box 942715, Sacramento, CA 94229-2715; or
Calling toll free at 888 CalPERS (or 888-225-7377)

NOTE: Contra Costa County requests that our office be notified of any changes to insure that our records are current and that the correct deduction is made from retiree pension check. Please call (925) 655-2100 with any changes.
