Buchanan Field and Byron Airport remain open for essential operations. Airport administration offices are open but closed to the public. Administration offices hours will be Monday – Friday, 9 am to 4 pm.

The Assessor’s Office is open for County business Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. The Assessor’s Office lobbies are closed to the public. Public Services are available online at www.contracosta.ca.gov/Assessor, by phone - Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm, and through the mail.

Child Support Services:
Child Support Services is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. However, our lobby remains closed to the public at this time. Customers can continue to use one of these options to contact us:

Clerk of the Board of Supervisors:
The Clerk of the Board is open Monday - Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.

The Clerk-Recorder-Elections Department remains open to provide essential services, but access to buildings and in-person services is limited. Elections hours will remain open Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm. Clerk-Recorder Division hours will be open Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm. Conservation and Development (DCD):
Due to COVID-19, the Department of Conservation and Development has modified operations to protect public health. All department services are available virtually either online or by phone, but our offices are currently closed to the public. Please visit www.contracosta.ca.gov/dcd to access our services.
Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS):
Contra Costa County Health Services Department and its Health, Housing & Homeless Services (H3) remain operational.

COVID Call Center: 1-844-729-8410 open 8 am - 5 pm, seven days a week. Assistance is available in English and Spanish.

Employment & Human Services (EHSD):
Employment & Human Services has emergency protocols in place to ensure we deliver the services our customers need, as well as some expedited services for our most vulnerable community members.

Human Resources offices are open with a combination of onsite and remote access, and staff are available Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.

Beginning Monday, June 15, the Library will offer Front Door Service at 24 community libraries. The service will allow patrons to pick-up books, DVDs, and audiobooks placed on hold through the Library’s website at ccclib.org.

Until further notice, Probation field offices in Antioch, Martinez, and Richmond will not be accessible beyond the public lobbies. Office appointments are not being scheduled at this time, but Deputy Probation Officers have resumed field contacts with clients and by telephone.
The West County field services office in Richmond has relocated from 1275 A. Hall Avenue to 3095 Richmond Parkway Suite 210, effective Friday, April 10. The new telephone number for this location is 510-942-3400.
Personal visitation has been suspended until further notice at the County Juvenile Hall and the Boy’s Ranch. However, essential professional visits will continue with proper health screening beforehand. A health screening tool is being implemented for individuals who are booked into custody at either of these facilities.

The Office of the Public Defender in Martinez and Richmond will remain open. The juvenile office and the Alternate Defender’s Office remain closed to the public except by appointment. For a list of Public Defender FAQs, please click here.
Our doors are open. Public Works staff is available to assist customers Monday – Thursday, 7 am - 5 pm, and Friday, 7 am – 4 pm, closed 12-1 on Fridays only. Records Counter is closed Fridays. To protect customers and employees, Public Works follows County Health Orders requiring visitors to wear a face mask and keep a distance of six feet apart.

Sheriff’s Office information: cancellation of jail visits because of coronavirus. To prevent the spread of COVID-19 into the Contra Costa County detention facilities, the Office of the Sheriff has temporarily canceled all professional, official, and social visits at the Martinez, West County, and Marsh Creek Detention Facilities. However, attorney visits will continue with access to non-contact visit rooms only. The cancellation will be reassessed as conditions change.

Superior Court of California is not a County office. The Contra Costa Superior Court will reopen to the public on May 26, 2020. For specific guidelines and more information, visit Superior Court of California, Contra Costa County.
The Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office is open for County business, but public access is limited. For everyone’s health and safety, visitors will need to request an appointment by calling or emailing the Office between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A drop box is available outside the Main Street entrance for property tax payments between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM on weekdays as well.

Veterans Service Office:
Veterans Service is operating through their virtual office, www.contracosta.ca.gov/vets. Veterans Service is also taking limited in-person appointments only at the Martinez office.
