During kitten season (early Spring through late Fall), the shelter is overloaded with little ones in need of care. Many are without mothers and are not yet eating on their own. These adorable babies would not make it, if it weren’t for our foster families.
Kitten foster responsibilities vary, depending on the age group you are fostering. Unweaned kittens need to be bottle-fed every few hours, while older kittens who are eating solid foods may just need cuddles and socialization as they grow big enough to be made available for adoption.
Whatever age group you are comfortable working with, we provide all the training, food, and medical care. You provide the love!
To join the CCAS Kitten Foster Program:
1. Register to become a Kitten Foster! After submitting your registration, our team of kitten foster coordinators will reach out to you when we have cats/kittens in need of placement.
