Project Description: Work generally consists of replacing the existing 10 span concrete slab bridge with a 5 span CIP/PS slab bridge. All supports utilize CIDH concrete piles. The replacement is to be done using staged construction. Approach roadway, rock slope protection, temporary water diversion, and utility relocation are among other work items.

General Location: Marsh Drive over Walnut Creek Channel located in both unincorporated Contra Costa County and City of Concord.

Location: Marsh Drive over the Walnut Creek Channel approx. 0.2 miles west of Solano Way.

DBE Program: This project is partially funded by federal funds from U.S. Department of Transportation. The prospective bidders are required to comply with 49 Code of Regulations (CFR) Part 26. The prospective bidders must meet the project-specific Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal or document the Good Faith Effort (GFE) process. It is important to note that to comply with the County DBE program’s Good Faith Effort, the bidders must take certain actions a minimum of 15 days prior to bid opening.
