In September 2020, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors declared a climate emergency and took a number of actions to address it. One of those was the creation of an Interdepartmental Climate Action Task Force that includes all department heads, or their senior deputies. The Task Force is directed to focus on urgently implementing the County's Climate Action Plan and to identify additional actions, policies, and programs the County can undertake to reduce and adapt to the impacts of a changing climate.
The Task Force is directed to report to the Board twice a year. The first report was submitted in March 2020. You can find reports, presentations, and related documents in the tabs below.
