D.2 CONSIDER supporting AB 2929 (Torlakson) which requires simultaneous
extensions of BART to Antioch, Livermore and Santa Clara County and requires

ADOPTED a position in support
of AB 2929 by Assemblyman Tom Torlakson, as amended May 24, 2000, which would
address the need for BART to begin extensions to Antioch and Livermore before
agreeing to extend BART to Santa Clara County and would require a buy-in from
Santa Clara County; and REFERRED the issues of additional amendments to
the bill and possible clarifications to the Water, Transportation and
Infrastructure Committee.
