Celebrate St. Pitty's Day

Posted on March 3, 2020 at 2:30 PM by Lori Calvery

It’s March and do you know what that means? It’s time for our St. Pitty’s Day adoption event where adoption fees for all our Pitty dogs are free (minus licensing). But we’re here today to talk about May, not March. That’s May, the sweetest pocket Pitty on the planet.

I'm the prettiest, mushiest girl you're ever going to meet!

May has been with us almost a year and everyone who knows her, loves her. While here, she’s become quite a star with the staff and volunteers because she’s a total love monkey. Our beautiful girl just loves people and tummy rubs and wiggling her adorable body to get your attention and show you how happy she is. Some of her favorite things to do is cuddle and play with her toys. Did I mention that she’s very wiggly?

Ooo, a little more rubs and scratches please!

This gorgeous meatball was surrendered to the shelter last March because she needed knee surgery and her family couldn’t afford the care she needed. Her surgery went well, but then unfortunately, her other knee required surgery, which is not all that uncommon. Luckily, we’ve been able to work with a local rescue to raise funds to pay for her second surgery. But first, May needs a foster home or even better, a forever home before this happens.

You want to take me home?? Okay, I'm ready!

May has given so much love to everyone who meets her and now she needs some loving of her own. It’ll take about 8 weeks for her to recuperate and good loving home is the best place for healing.  May is great with people and kids of all ages and is otherwise, very easy to care for. Crate training? House trained? No problem! She’s called a pocket Pitty since she’s small in size, weighing in at about 40 lbs.

I can be your office buddy. I can't type but I can lick envelopes.

This St. Pitty’s Day, the event where we celebrate our Pit Bull doggies, would be an awesome time to give this wonderful girl the home and love she’s waiting for. You’ll not find a nicer love bug than this girl, so what are you waiting for? Come and meet May and make the luck of the Irish shine down on you both! You can even watch a video of May having a wonderful day out: Watch May's Video

I can't wait to go to my forever home!
