Office of Reentry & Justice

  1. Racial Justice Task Force - Special Meeting

    Creation of the 17-member Racial Justice Task Force was unanimously approved by the Board of Supervisors on April 12, 2016. The mandate of the Task Force is as follows:

    1. Research and identify consensus measures within the County to reduce racial disparities in the criminal justice system;
    2. Plan and oversee implementation of the measures once identified; and
    3. Report back to the Board of Supervisors on progress made toward reducing racial disparities within the criminal justice system.

  2. CCP - Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) Meeting

    The Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) advises the CCP on the consistency and fidelity of the County’s entire reentry process (i.e. from arrest through community reintegration). QAC’s advice is focused on the experiences of AB-109 Participants, and the activities of the partnered agencies working with this population.

    The QAC is committed to:

    • Identifying opportunities for essential trainings, professional development, and technical assistance
    • Fostering efficacy in workflows and collaboration among the partnered entities
    • Furthering coordinated transitions of Participants involved in the reentry process
    • Assisting in the development of information sharing among partnered entities, and the identification
    • Supporting the development and implementation of best practices at each stage of the reentry process
    • Promoting excellence in organizational operations
    • Enhancing efficiency and encouraging the leveraging of scarce resources

Tax Collector

  1. Secured Property Tax 1st Installment Due

    November 1, 2018 - December 10, 2018 @ County Finance Building: Treasurer-Tax Collector's Office

    The first installment of your Secured Property Taxes are due November 1 and are delinquent after 5:00 p.m. on December 10. A 10% penalty is added after December 10. If December 10 falls on a weekend or holiday, taxes are not delinquent until 5 p.m. the next business day.

  2. Treasury Oversight Committee

    The Board of Supervisors established the Treasury Oversight Committee on January 1, 1996 with the purpose to: • Review the county's investment policy, • Regularly monitor the county investment pool's performance, • Report on the pool's performance to the board of supervisors, and • Ensure an annual audit is conducted to determine the County Treasurer’s compliance with Government Code §§27130-27137 The Treasury Oversight Committee allows local agencies, including school and special districts, as well as the public, to participate in reviewing the policies that guide the investment of public funds. These funds are invested by the County Treasurer under the authority granted annually by ordinance at the direction of the Board of Supervisors. The mandate for the existence of the committee was suspended in 2004 by the State of California; however, the committee serves an important function and the Treasurer’s Office has elected to continue the program.
