[ARCHIVED] Local Legislator Tour Series

The Contra Costa County Flood Control District’s “Local Legislator Tour” series came about as a result of meeting our state legislators in April during the “Watershed Day at the Capitol” event. Throughout this event, we educated our legislators about the funding difficulties we face, and introduced them to our One Water Initiative. The “Local Legislator Tour” series was designed to reinforce the ideas from “Watershed Day at the Capitol” and give each legislator a tangible experience to which they can connect the concepts. During these tours a variety of topics will be discussed, such as clean water, aging infrastructure, regulatory permit challenges, and our outreach efforts. The Flood Control District is currently working on scheduling tours with Assembly members Frazier, Bonilla, Thurmond, and Baker, Senators Wolk, Glazer, and Hancock, and U.S. Congressman Thompson. Each tour is specifically designed so that each legislator tours Flood Control facilities within their district. To view completed tours, please visit our “Local Legislator Tour” tab.
