The County Board of Supervisors ratified a proclamation of local emergency on January 26, paving the way for potential future funding to assist with repairs to areas of the County damaged in the recent winter storm surge. The County Administrator had issued the proclamation on January 19 in order to meet specific guidelines for timing, with the Supervisors then needed to ratify it as well.
Although the weather has improved, you may still want to consider getting sandbags in advance of the next storm.
