Look for PG&E crews that are working in the slide area today clearing branches from last week's tree trimming. The Vegetation Management Team's work should not impact pedestrian traffic or impede activities in the closed roadway. Logs that remain on the hillside will be positioned in such a way that they will not move or roll down the hill.
We want to offer a sincere thank you to the residents who helped make yesterday's brief access to the road as successful as possible. We realize that having to move cars out of the area in advance so that traffic could flow was an inconvenience for many of you, and appreciate everyone trying to make it as safe as possible for those wanting to take advantage of the access.
Engineers will be evaluating the impact of the vehicles on the road to see how it handled the traffic.
