[ARCHIVED] November 9: Morgan Territory Road Slide Repair Project Update

The Morgan Territory Road project is in the final stages and moving towards completion. In the past week, the County’s contractor continued work on the waterline with the transfer of service to the new waterline expected early next week. The contractor also completed installation of aggregate base on the roadway and is expected to complete the concrete barriers along the road edges and the drainage work associated with the retaining walls by week’s end. Next week, the contractor is scheduled to install the asphalt pavement roadway surface and metal beam guard railings.

Yesterday, PG&E set two new poles and is completing the electric clearance work today.

As soon as we have a specific date for the road to reopen, we will send out that information.

For the safety of residents and construction workers, please do not go into the project site.

The Public Works Maintenance crews are continuing to maintain the access road. Please keep speed to 15 miles per hour on the access road. Your neighbors on Leon Drive have allowed the use of their private road for this access so it’s important to keep speeds to the posted speed limit.

A Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be held on Saturday December 2 at 10:30 am at the County lot opposite Oak Hill Lane to celebrate project completion. We hope you can attend.
