Contra Costa County Public Works to Install Traffic Controls
on Jersey Island Bridge Over Dutch Slough
August 24, 2018, Oakley, CA – Contra Costa County Public Works will be installing one-way traffic controls on the Jersey Island Bridge over Dutch Slough, starting on Friday, August 24. A recent inspection by Caltrans revealed deterioration of two wood piles within the substructure and directed Contra Costa County to remove traffic from the northbound side of the bridge until repairs can be completed.
The southbound side of the bridge will be used for two way traffic, with no load restrictions in place. Proper one-way signage and barriers preventing traffic from using the northbound lane will be in place for traffic control. Expect minimal delays with a one-way traffic detour in this area.
