Contra Costa County is offering couples the chance to have a wedding with a background that features the sparkling water of San Francisco Bay and the dramatic skyline of one of the most popular cities in the world. The special venue for couples who wish to exchange wedding vows will be at the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front Historical Park in Richmond. “We’re excited to offer this opportunity for couples to be married at this historic and beautiful location,” Clerk-Recorder Joe Canciamilla said. “Couples can experience their special day by having some of the most beautiful views in the Bay Area.” In partnership with the National Parks Service, the County Clerk-Recorder will officiate weddings at the picturesque site from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 7th. There are only 33 appointments available for this summertime “Destination Wedding.” Couples interested in having their ceremony at the Rosie the Riveter Historical Park must make an appointment. Ceremonies can be scheduled online at www.contracostacore.us. More Information
