The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors declares the week of November 11 -17, 2018 as United Against Hate Week in the County. Contra Costa joins a Bay Area wide effort to build safety, inclusion and equity for all.
“Contra Costa stands against hate,” said Board Chair, Supervisor Karen Mitchoff. She lamented the loss of lives when tragic incidents are brought about by hate. “What Contra Costa stands for is compassion and embracing our differences.”
Co-sponsored by Supervisors John Gioia and Federal Glover, the Board resolution for United Against Hate Week is stop the hate and implicit biases that harm our communities and reaffirm the County’s deep commitment to inclusivity and equity.
