Contra Costa County Public Works wants you to drive safe and sober as we celebrate the 4th of July
June 27, 2019, Contra Costa County, CA – With Independence Day celebrations right around the corner, Contra Costa County’s Public Works Department wants to remind our residents to enjoy the festivities without mixing alcohol/drugs with driving. The Fourth of July celebrations might be a casual barbeque in the backyard with friends, or it could be watching parades and fireworks with family in the park, but whatever it is, don’t let it end in tragedy. Before the party begins, designate a sober driver, or take public transportation, taxis or ridesharing. Whatever you do, do not drive while impaired. Celebrate the Fourth of July by remembering that with freedom comes responsibility!
