[ARCHIVED] Sequoia Way Culvert and Roadway Repair Project

August 28, 2019, Martinez, CA – Contra Costa County Public Works will begin construction on the Sequoia Way Culvert and Roadway Repair Project. The work consists of replacing a damaged thirty-six inch culvert outfall that discharges stormwater onto Alhambra Creek, re-establishing and stabilizing the eroded embankment using rock slope protection, installing a storm drain inlet to collect surface drainage, and planting and seeding the embankment.

Construction will begin on Monday, September 9, 2019, with completion on Friday, October 18, 2019, barring unforeseen circumstances. Residents on Wanda Way can expect delays during construction. Work hours will be from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and with restrictions to minimize impacts during commute hours.

Funding for this project is provided locally by gas tax revenues from the SB1 Road Repair and Accountability Act Funding and other Local Funds. More information for this project can be found at http://www.cccounty.us/pwdmap.
