[ARCHIVED] PG&E Announces Potential Power Shutoff in Parts of Contra Costa County

Preparing For A Power Outage

PG&E has notified the County of a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) for wildfire safety starting as early as Wednesday, October 14, evening. 

The PG&E's power shutoff may impact some customers in Alamo, Canyon, Clayton, Morgan Territory, Danville, Diablo, Orinda, and Walnut Creek.

PG&E Community Resource Centers

PG&E will have two Community Resource Centers (CRC) in Contra Costa County. The CRCs will open on Wednesday, October 14, from 5 pm to 10 pm, and on October 15 and 16, from 8 am to 10 pm.

  • Costco Parking Lot, Castle Square Shopping Center, 3150 Fostoria Way, Danville
  • Arbolado Park, Arbolado Drive at Doncaster Drive, Walnut Creek

Residents can get access to WiFi and charge mobile devices and small medical devices. Water and snacks will be available. The CRCs will have ADA accessible restrooms and washing stations. Face covering required. Visit PG&E for more information on Community Resource Centers.
