[ARCHIVED] Check Your Voter Registration for March Presidential Primary Election

ballot envelope

The Contra Costa Elections Division urges all voters to make sure their voter registration status is up to date before voter information and ballots are mailed beginning in January for the March Presidential Primary Election.

If a voter moves and has not updated their registration, ballots and voter information will be mailed to the old address. For those who haven’t moved, it’s still important to check party registration status. Unlike general elections the March election is partisan; accurate party preference is essential to a voter getting the ballot they want to vote.

The deadline to register to vote was February 18, 2020.  If you missed the deadline, you can still register and vote in person using Conditional Voter Registration through Election Day. It is a one-stop opportunity to register and cast your ballot and is available at the Elections office, Regional Early Voting sites, and all polling places on Election Day.

Vote by Mail ballots must be postmarked by March 3, 2020. View My Voting Information.
