[ARCHIVED] County Honors Dr. Martin Luther King at 42nd Commemoration

The Board of Supervisors welcomes the public at the free community celebration commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King and Humanitarians of the Year Awards on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 starting at 11 am in Contra Costa County’s Board Chambers located at 651 Pine Street, Martinez, CA.

The theme of the event is “We Are in This Together”. The celebration will feature keynote speaker, Bisa French, Interim Police Chief of the Richmond Police Department, in Richmond, CA. The interim chief, who has both African American and Latina heritage, became the first woman of color to lead the department. Ms. French will share her perspectives on Dr. King’s legacy.
