Martinez Shelter Parking Lot Expansion Underway

Work has begun on the expansion of the front parking lot at our Martinez shelter. Funded by the Contra Costa County Capital Improvements Fund, this project will increase public safety by expanding the number of parking spaces to reduce the overflow in our lot that causes patrons to park on Imhoff Drive. When completed, the Martinez shelter will have an additional 27 parking spaces and a total of 70 parking spaces. We expect the work to be completed by Fall of 2020. Please be aware that the Martinez shelter parking lot will have a reduced number of parking spaces during the construction period. In addition to the expansion of the parking lot, this project will also include the development of a new walking path and doggie play yard to provide CCAS staff and volunteers increased on-campus space and a safer environment for socializing dogs. We thank you for your patience while we make these important improvements.
