Animal Services image

Under the Public Health Order issued on March 31, Animal Care & Control will be reducing services and be closed to the public through May 3, 2020.  You can contact Animal Services staff at 925-608-8400.

Our Pinole Shelter remains closed to the public. Our Martinez Shelter is closed to the public, unless by appointment for sick/injured pets and transfer/foster/adoption placements. Our officers will continue to respond to calls for sick/injured animals and those that present a public safety concern. All Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and Return-to-Field (RTF) activities have been suspended, no cats or kittens will be accepted.
