Union Pacific Railroad to Make Repairs on Chesley Avenue Railroad Crossing
August 7, 2020, Richmond, CA – Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) has scheduled repairs to its railroad crossing on Chesley Avenue on Thursday, August 13, 2020, beginning at 7 a.m. through 6 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020, barring unforeseen circumstances. Work will take place on Chesley Avenue between 7th Street and Rumrill Boulevard. UPRR contractor, RoadSafe Traffic Systems, will be closing the road on both sides of the railroad crossing. During the road closure traffic will be detoured via Market Avenue. Electronic message boards will be placed near the railroad crossing to alert the public of the upcoming road closure. Current social distancing protocol will be observed.
