[ARCHIVED] EBMUD Water Service Shutoff for Night Work in El Sobrante


EBMUD to Perform Night Work at the Intersections of Hilltop Drive with Alhambra Road, El Centro Road, and Santa Maria Road in El Sobrante

August 31, 2020, El Sobrante, CA – Contra Costa County has issued a permit to EBMUD for night work at the intersections of Hilltop Drive with Alhambra Road, El Centro Road and Santa Maria Road during the week of September 8, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. for 1-2 nights (Wednesday evening into Thursday morning and possibly Thursday evening into Friday morning). The purpose of this night work is for EBMUD to perform a large shutdown that will affect water service in the area at night to minimize the inconvenience during the day.

The roadwork will consist of pavement saw cutting and excavation as well as staging of construction equipment. Some dust and noise is expected and will require temporary lane closures during the hours of construction. There will be traffic control through the work area and drivers should expect delays. Current social distancing protocol will be observed.
