Contra Costa County Public Works to Begin Pavement Surface Treatment in Alamo
October 7, 2020, Alamo, CA– Contra Costa County Public Works will be applying a Micro Surface Treatment to streets in the Alamo area. The work is scheduled to take place October 12, 2020 through October 31, 2020, barring unforeseen circumstances. The work will occur 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, conditions permitting. With restrictions to minimize impacts during commute hours. The work will take place on Stone Valley Road from Green Valley Road to Danville Boulevard first, then on Danville Boulevard from El Portal Road to Rudgear Road. Drivers can expect delays up to 15 minutes.
Work will also include surface preparation, (edge grinding), tree trimming, striping removal, placement of thermoplastic striping and pavement markings. Current social distancing protocol will be observed.
Funding for this project is financed with gas tax revenues provided by the SB1 Road Repair and Accountability Act.
