[ARCHIVED] PG&E Announces Power Shutoff in Parts of Contra Costa County

Preparing for a Power Outage

PG&E has notified the County of a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) for wildfire safety starting as early as Sunday, October 25, afternoon. PG&E estimates 18,749 customers in Contra Costa County may be impacted. PG&E says power to Contra Costa customers may be restored starting Monday, October 26, into Tuesday, October 27.

PG&E Community Resource Centers

PG&E has four Community Resource Centers (CRC) in Contra Costa County. The CRCs are open on Sunday, October 25, from 8 AM to 10 PM through the power shutoff event.

  • Endeavor Hall, 6008 Center Street, Clayton
  • Costco, 3150 Fostoria Way, Danville
  • Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1035 Carol Lane, Lafayette
  • Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church, 10 Moraga Valley Lane, Moraga

Residents can get access to WiFi and charge mobile devices and small medical devices. Water and snacks will be available. The CRCs will have ADA accessible restrooms and washing stations. Face covering required. Visit PG&E for more information on Community Resource Centers.
