Resources on New State Law AB 3088:
The Judicial Council launched a new webpage this week to provide information on recent eviction legislation, AB 3088 (Chiu) – the Tenant, Homeowner, and Small Landlord Relief and Stabilization Act of 2020. In addition to being a direct resource to tenants and landlords alike, the webpage also will supplement the work of self-help centers located in or near courthouses across the state.
These centers provide assistance to litigants without representation in navigating the court process.
In related news, the Judicial Council recently approved forms to reflect changes to court procedures and practices needed to carry out AB 3088.
