The Department of Conservation and Development has modified operations to protect public health. All department services continue to be available virtually either online or by phone. Building and planning permits continue to be an online-only application process. Our application and permit center is open by appointment only.
Application and Permit Center Updates
We are excited to continue offering 100% online permitting to better serve the public and increase permit processing efficiency. Paper applications and plans are not accepted.

We also offer phone and video appointments to assist with pre-application questions or the application process. Beginning June 15, 2021, we will also offer in-person appointments. The appointments can help with answering questions you may have about the permitting process or reviewing digital plans for pre-application questions. Appointments cannot be used to apply for a building permit or submit a planning application.
All other Services
The department continues to operate all programs and perform all services, though some are currently offered virtually either online or by phone. Staff are currently working from a mix of in-office and remote locations but are reachable by phone and email.
