Contra Costa County Will Hold Second Public Hearing for Redistricting Process
Redistricting is the once-a-decade process of redrawing the boundaries for Supervisorial districts after the U.S. Census.
The Board of Supervisors will hold its second Public Hearing for the County’s Redistricting Process on October 5, 2021 at 9 am. The Public Hearing will provide:
- An overview of the Redistricting process,
- Review public input provided to date,
- Provide over/under population,
- Review the criteria for adopting redistricting maps, and
- Receive direction from the Board of Supervisors.

If permitted by law on October 5, 2021, to slow the spread of COVID-19 in lieu of a public gathering the Board of Supervisors meeting and this Public Hearing will be accessible via live-streaming for all members of the public. Board meetings are televised live on Comcast Cable 27, ATT/U-verse Channel 99, and WAVE Channel 32, and can be seen live online at www.contracosta.ca.gov.
Alternatively, if the Board of Supervisors is required to conduct a live Public Hearing on October 5, 2021, it will be held in the Board Chambers, County Administration Building, 1025 Escobar Street, Martinez, California. Members of the public will be able to appear and comment in person at the Public Hearing as well as view the meeting on television and via livestreaming.
In any meeting format, members of the public may call in or participate via zoom by following the active links in the published agenda for this day’s meeting.

El Condado de Contra Costa Celebrará Segunda Audiencia Pública para el Proceso de Redistritación
La Redistritación es un proceso desempeñado una vez por década para volver de deslindar los límites para los Distritos Supervisoriales después del Censo de los Estados Unidos.
