Contra Costa County Will Hold Fifth Redistricting Public Hearing
Redistricting is the once-a-decade process of redrawing the boundaries for Supervisorial districts after the U.S. Census.
The Board of Supervisors will hold its fifth Public Hearing for the County’s Redistricting process on November 23, 2021 at 9 am. You can watch it live on CCTV, Comcast Cable 27, ATT/U-Verse Channel 99, and WAVE Channel 32, and online at www.contracosta.ca.gov or at contracostatv.org. The Public Hearing will provide:
- An overview of the Redistricting process,
- Provide a summary of Community Redistricting Workshop input
- Review public input provided to date, including Communities of Interest, District Map Proposals, and other comments,
- Provide over/under population summary,
- Present final draft Supervisorial map (PDF),
- Review the criteria for adopting redistricting maps,
- Receive public comment, and
- Board of Supervisors to consider selection of final map.
At the November 9, 2021 Redistricting Public Hearing the Board of Supervisors directed staff to bring a Proposed Final Redistricting Map to the November 23, 2021 Redistricting Public Hearing for their consideration. The Proposed Final Map is based on Map D presented at the November 9, 2021 Redistricting Public Hearing.

La Redistritación es un proceso desempeñado una vez por década para volver de deslindar los límites para los Distritos Supervisoriales después del Censo de los Estados Unidos
La Junta Supervisora celebrará su quinta Audiencia Pública para el Proceso de Redistritación del Condado el 23 de noviembre de 2021 a las 9 am. La Audiencia Púbica proveerá:
- Una descripción general del proceso de Redistritación,
- Proveerá un resumen de las opiniones públicas vertidas en el Taller Comunitario de Redistritación
- Revisará las opiniones públicas vertidas hasta la fecha, incluyendo las Comunidades de Interés, Propuestas de Mapas Distritales, y otros comentarios,
- Proveerá un resumen de la sobrepoblación/subpoblación,
- Presentará borrador final de mapa supervisorial (PDF)l,
- Repasará el criterio para adaptar los mapas de redistribución distrital,
- Recibirá comentarios del público, y
- La Junta Supervisora considerará la selección del mapa final.
En la Audiencia Pública de Redistribución del 9 de noviembre de 2021, la Junta de Supervisores ordenó al personal que llevara un Mapa Final de Redistribución Propuesto a la Audiencia Pública de Redistribución el 23 de noviembre de 2021 para su consideración.
