The Workforce Development Board (WDB) of Contra Costa County has worked with partners to develop resources to help employers and small business owners during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Workforce Development Board and Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors opened a new call center to meet the needs of Contra Costa businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of the "Bounce Back Contra Costa" campaign.
The Call Center for Small Business Employers and Employees is available at 833-320-1919, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. Staff are highly trained and knowledgeable, and have extensive experience supporting business leaders and job seekers with education, training, resources, partnerships and public programs. The Workforce Development Board has partnered with the California Employers Association to provide Contra Costa County businesses with a NO-COST HR HOTLINE. Guidance provided on: Hiring & Firing Processes, Paid Sick Leave Laws & FMLA, Breaks, Lunches & Overtime, Employee Handbooks, Harassment Prevention, and Remote Workers.
