County Workforce Development Board Resources for Employees

Flyer Rapid Response Virtual Info Sessions CCC 1st Thur w-link

Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County, a bureau of the Employment and Human Services Department, has resources available for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including career skills training, unemployment information and free Rapid Response Virtual Info Sessions.

  • Workforce Development Board (WDB) and California Employment and Development Department (EDD) have partnered to offer a Rapid Response session for employment and job questions. Webinars are monthly on the first Thursday at 2 pm. Visit WDB website for information and registration
  • Call Center provides information and resources for Contra Costa County small businesses and employees impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Call 1-833-320-1919, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. See the Press Release.
  • Workforce Development Board is providing free access to online career training via Metrix E-Learning System. See WBD website and click on Jobseekers to Register Online for Metrix Learning.

To apply for Unemployment Insurance, visit the California Employment and Development Department. With general questions, call 833-978-2511, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm.
