MURDER CHARGE FILED AGAINST SAN ANSELMO MAN IN RICHMOND HIT AND RUN COLLISION

 

Martinez, Calif. – The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office files murder charges against a San Anselmo resident allegedly involved in a fatal hit and run crash in Richmond on March 21, 2022.    

 

20-year-old Roman Gaelan Seabock faces one felony count of murder with an enhancement of an alleged use of a deadly weapon against 33-year-old Raul Morales Lopez, Jr. – which in this case was a 1997 Dodge van. 

 

Lopez was walking his bicycle on a sidewalk on Hoffman Boulevard near Cutting Boulevard around 10 pm on March 21st when a van drove onto the sidewalk and ran over Lopez. Emergency responders pronounced Lopez dead at the scene.    

 

Officers from the Richmond Police Department investigated the crash and collected evidence from the vehicle, video footage from security cameras, and witness statements. Seabock was arrested on April 13th in San Anselmo. His arraignment is on April 15, 2022, at 1:30 pm in Richmond.
