Felony Charges Filed Against Richmond Woman for Assaulting El Cerrito Minors
Martinez, Calif.— The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office charged a Richmond woman with two felony counts for assaulting minors at El Cerrito High School.
20-year-old Liliana Gonzalez-Lopez turned herself in at the El Cerrito Police Department on June 6, 2022 after an arrest warrant was issued. Gonzalez-Lopez was wanted for an April 19, 2022 incident at El Cerrito High for assaulting two female minors in a restroom. Through statements and other evidence, police determined Gonzalez-Lopez punched one student multiple times and dragged her by the hair inside a toilet stall. That minor suffered minor injuries including a concussion. The other student was struck in the throat and thrown to the ground while attempting to shut Gonzalez-Lopez out of the restroom stall.
Gonzalez-Lopez was arraigned at 1:30 pm today in Martinez on two felony counts [PC 245(a)(4)] for Assault by Means Likely to Produce Great Bodily Injury on a Jane Doe #1 and Jane Doe #2.
