Changes to DCD's Building and Planning Fees

Effective August 10, 2022, there are the following changes to our Building and Planning fees .

Building Fees

Our minimum building construction valuations adjusted upwards by 7%. These valuations are used to set our permit fees for various types of construction projects.
The last increase we had was a 3% increase in 2016.

Planning Fees

The County Fee Schedule now includes the following four new planning fees:

  • Urban Housing Development (UHD) Permit: $3,000 minimum deposit. Time and materials.
  • Planning review of Urban Lot Split (ULS) Parcel Map: $1,000 minimum deposit. Time and materials.
  • Sign Permit Renewal: $150 filing fee.
  • Development Plan Modification: $3,000 minimum deposit. Time and materials.

The UHD permits, ULS parcel maps, and sign permits are all new application types and the associated fees have been added to the Land Development Fee Schedule.
The development plan modification application fee is a new reduced fee for processing a modification to an approved development plan.
