[ARCHIVED] Playground Structures Closed for Maintenance

Contra Costa County Public Works to Close Playgrounds at Hemme Station Park, Parkway Estates and Spears Circle Park for Maintenance

October 6, 2022, Alamo and North Richmond, CA-Contra Costa County Public Works will be closing access to the playground structures at the following parks beginning on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, through Sunday, October 16, 2022, barring unforeseen circumstances. Contractors will be working at each park between 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, weather permitting. The playground areas at these parks will reopen once the fencing is removed on Monday, October 17, 2022.

Hemme Station Park-off Hemme Avenue along the Iron Horse Trail, Alamo

Parkway Estates-at the corner of Maya Way and Malcolm Drive, North Richmond

Spears Circle Park-at the intersection of Malcolm Drive and Spears Circle, North Richmond

The purpose of this work is to install a protective layer to the rubberized flooring beneath the playground structures.  The playground areas should not be accessed while the fencing is in place. Walking on the surfaces during the curing process can affect the finished product.
