[ARCHIVED] Road Closures Due to Storms

December 31, 2022, unincorporated Contra Costa County

 

Contra Costa County Public Works crews are working to clear mud, tree branches and debris on roads impacted by the storms.  Several roads are closed due to flooding. Current road closure information is located under the news section of the Public Works Department’s webpage. www.cccpublicworks.org. Drivers are asked to avoid these areas and limit travel. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. 

Locations for Contra Costa County Sandbag Stations. www.contracosta.ca.gov/sandbags. Public Works crews are working to replenish the sand as more storms are predicted next week. 

When the power is out in an intersection, drivers should treat signals as stop signs.

County Public Works Maintenance road crews maintain the storm drain inlets through a program of annual inspection and cleaning.  To report a clogged catch basin or drainage inlet please call the Public Works Maintenance Division at 925-313-7000 during work hours and after hours call Sheriff’s Dispatch at 925-646-2441.
