Wildfire Preparedness & Safety

Residents Contra Costa County Guide-1

Stay prepared for wildfires and potential power outages. Tips include knowing how to manually open your garage door, parking your car in the direction you want to leave in, and evacuating when an order is issued for your safety.

Fire officials urge prevention and caution during wildfire danger season. Con Fire and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office have published a guide for County residents to help prepare themselves, their families, and neighbors in the event of a wildfire.

View and download Contra Costa County Residents Guide to Wildfire Preparedness & Evacuation (PDF) and Guide to Wildfire Preparedness & Evacuation in Spanish (PDF).
