Westminster and Kenyon Avenue Accessibilty Project

Contra Costa County Public Works to begin Construction on the Westminster and Kenyon Avenue Accessibility Project

August 17, 2023, Kensington, CA – Contra Costa County Public Works will begin construction of the Westminster and Kenyon Avenue Accessibility Project. The work consists of removing existing curb and sidewalk and constructing fourteen (14) new curb ramps, gutters and sidewalks at six (6) intersections within Kensington. Work will begin Monday August 21, 2023, through Wednesday November 1, 2023, barring unforeseen circumstances. Work will take place between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), weather permitting. Drivers should expect delays from the intersection of Westminster Avenue and York Avenue to the intersection of Kenyon Avenue and Trinity Avenue during construction.
