Contra Costa County Public Works to Begin Construction on the
Franklin Canyon Road Safety Improvement Project
September 13, 2023, Martinez, CA– Contra Costa County Public Works will install a new centerline rumble strip with traffic striping and pavement markers to improve traffic safety on Franklin Canyon Road from Cummings Skyway to Dutra Road. Work will begin on Monday, September 18, 2023, through Friday, October 20, 2023, barring unforeseen circumstances. Work will occur between 7:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. Restrictions will be in place to minimize impacts to drivers during commute hours. Message boards are posted to advise drivers of the scheduled work.
