BOGO Kittens Continues
It's the height of kitten season and we have sooooo many kittens!!! We have super cute kittens, moderately cute (but nice personality) kittens, cuddly kittens, fast kittens, slow kittens... Whichever type of kitten you desire, we have it. And since our BOGO special has been doing an awesome job of helping kittens find their forever homes this year, we decided to extend it into August. This promotion, paired with the $20 adoption promotion, means you can have two kittens for just $20. Because everybody knows kittens are more fun in twos.

Beware of Blue Green Algae

Blog: Beware of Blue Green Algae

A blue-green algae bloom is a buildup of algae that creates a green, blue-green, white or brown coloring on the surface of the water, sometimes occurring as mats or scum. They can occur at any time but are most common between June and September. Some species of blue-green algae produce toxins, so skin contact and ingestion can be dangerous. Children and pets are at the greatest risk of serious toxic effects from blue-green algae. Due to the recent identification of blue-green algae in Discovery Bay, we thought it would be helpful to share the following blog about blue-green algae from renowned veterinarian, Dr. Marty Becker.

Adoption Update!

Pierce Brosnan, now named Dexter, was adopted over a month ago from our Martinez shelter and we just received this super sweet update:
"Just thought we'd let you know he's loving his new home and we are so happy to have him as an addition to the family!" We also heard that he gets along great with his new pack which includes two other husky mixes named Daisy and Dolda. This beautiful boy seems to fit in perfeclty with his beautiful new family. We couldn't be happier for him
