Robert Rogers hails from Southern California and came to the Bay Area in
2009. Robert graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2005 with
bachelor's degrees in political science and communications, and earned a
master¹s degree in journalism from UC Berkeley in 2011.Robert worked as a reporter at the San Bernardino County Sun from 2005 to 2008, and served as a co-founder of the local news site
RichmondConfidential.org while at UC Berkeley. Robert covered Richmond and area oil refineries for the Contra Costa Times since 2012, and served as a faculty lecturer at UC Berkeley before joining John¹s office in 2015.
Robert and his wife live in Richmond with their son James, who was born in
2014. Robert works as liaison to the community of North Richmond and on re-entry programs for formerly incarcerated residents.
